2027 joint artist call
Gothenburg Fringe welcomes boundary-pushing performing arts across genres, with community at the centre of its programme. Venues range from conventional stages to heritage buildings and unusual spaces.
Around 10 stages and 170 event slots are planned. The programming panel seeks a mix of new and returning artists, genres and career stages, with local acts expected to form 30%–40% of the programme and international acts 60%–70%.
The artistic mix
The festival’s programming panel looks for variety across genres, experience and artistic backgrounds. Both new and returning artists are considered.
Venues and technical flexibility
The festival pays for the venue. Some heritage buildings and unconventional spaces need flexible technical solutions, so be clear about your minimum requirements and discuss the practical setup with the team.
Artist terms
The application fee is €30. Participating artists are offered two or three performance slots and 100% of box office income. Confirm the detailed arrangements, technical access and payment schedule in your agreement.
Selection and touring
Offers are planned for early March 2027. Gothenburg overlaps with Stockholm and Bergen, so agree performance dates and travel time with every festival before committing to a touring route.
Programme sizes, venue plans and selection dates are indicative and subject to each festival’s final arrangements.
