2027 joint artist call
After a brief hiatus in 2026, Reykjavík Fringe returns in 2027. Founded in 2018 by Jess LoMonaco and Nanna Gunnars, the festival has grown into a lively community of artists and audiences within Icelandic arts culture.
Jess returns as Festival Director with a new organising team. The current plan is for five stages and around 100 show slots, depending on venue availability, with approximately 25 local and 25 international acts.
A festival returning to its community
The 2027 edition brings Reykjavík Fringe back after its 2026 pause, reconnecting its artistic community under a returning director and a new team of organisers.
Spaces and programme
Five stages and around 100 show slots are currently envisaged, subject to venue availability. Artists may propose a venue of their own; agree any independently sourced space with the festival in advance.
Artist arrangements
The application fee is €30. Box office shares, technical provision and other participation terms are to be agreed with the festival.
Selection and applications
Offers are planned for the beginning of March 2027. Apply through the BNFN 2027 listing in Eventotron. Include any venue proposal, technical requirements and date restrictions.
Programme sizes, venue plans and selection dates are indicative and subject to each festival’s final arrangements.
