2027 joint artist call

Stockholm Fringe Festival (STOFF) welcomes bold local and international work across disciplines, from performance and installation to film and digital art. Digital work is accepted.

The expanding 2027 programme plans 10–15 stages, up to 200 events and around 60–80 companies and acts. Final dates depend on incoming partnerships. Workshops, seminars, artist speed dating and international industry connections form part of the festival experience.

What Stockholm Fringe Festival (STOFF) offers

Artists receive the stage, basic technical equipment, venue support staff and basic marketing support without a stage fee. Participation includes free access to festival events, including the VIP opening gala and Fringe Awards. STOFF estimates the in-kind value of venue hire and promotion at around €2,000.

Box office arrangements

Most venues offer artists 100% of box office income, less credit card and box office administration fees. Some venues, especially stand-up and cabaret stages, retain a higher share. Your applicable deal is confirmed when venues are allocated. In public spaces where tickets cannot be sold, donations or passing the hat may be possible.

Programmes and connections

Industry professionals and organisations will curate or co-curate genre programmes under the STOFF umbrella, particularly dance, circus, comedy, stand-up, cabaret, site-specific and the short and art film programme NewDawnFilms Cinema Club Night. Partnership details and curator names will be announced in due course. STOFF also works with international partners to bring producers to Stockholm to scout for talent.

Young artists and awards

STOFF’s programme for young Fringe artists is FRINGE ACADEMY. Applications are free for artists under 20 years old; the guidelines list €30 for artists over 20 years old. Contact STOFF to confirm youth eligibility, including mixed-age companies. Qualifying 2026 awards securing a STOFF place carry an administration-fee exemption, including relevant awards from Catania, Paris and Thessaloniki.

Apply early

STOFF aims to send acceptance letters during 2026, especially for outdoor acts. Letters of intent may be issued from November to early applicants to support mobility grant applications, followed by rolling offers until the start of 2027.

Programme sizes, venue plans and selection dates are indicative and subject to each festival’s final arrangements.
